Lake Erie Fishing Charters

One Giant Lake Erie Smallmouth Bass!

Look at this 7 pound 13 ounce Monster !

A Lake Erie Smallmouth Bass guide service that specializes in guided Trophy Smallmouth Bass charters also offering fishing charters for Walleye, Yellow Perch, Salmon, Steelhead, Lake & Brown Trout.
Come experience the finest Smallmouth Bass Fishing in the World on Lake Erie's eastern basin with one of premier Smallmouth Bass Guides in western New York. You can expect 20 - 30 of these bronze brawlers a day, with much better days common. These fish average 3 1/2 - 4 pounds, with 5-6 pound plus Trophy Smallmouth Bass common in May & June. There's always a shot at even bigger Smallmouths, our New York state record Smallmouth Bass is 8.4 pounds. It has been set and broken on Lake Erie several times in the past few years. Who knows? The N.Y.D.E.C. says there are bigger ones out there from their electro-shocking and net sampling analysis, maybe another state record! Look at the 7# 13oz Slob one of my client caught on May 25th, 2007, that fish was released. With a little luck she should go over 8 pounds now and she's a new state record. If someone catches her again, hopefully they take good care of her getting her a certified scale then will release her as well to fight another day as well as produce some more Mega Smallmouths for the Future!

The summer bass fishing is even better for those who want numbers fish in the 2 - 3 pound range with an occasional 4-5 pound plus Smallmouth. This is a great time to bring kids or novice anglers to make sure they stay busy learning to how to catch lots of excellent fighters. 50-75 fish days are common, with 100+ a possibility. My best day in the 2003 was 148 Smallmouths with 7 of those over 5 pounds (on a Berkley scale) on May 26th. For the 2008 season, I wound up boating 59 Smallies over 5 pounds, with 4 of those over 6 pounds on a Berkley scale!
I will say chasing big Smallmouths has been my favorite kind of fishing since getting my first boat in 1986. It's an addiction! I have won several Bass Tournaments and placed well in many others over the years. Its an Angling Adventure that will have you hooked for life after fishing with one of the best Smallmouth Bass fishing guides in western New York, Captain Barry Schultz.
The Walleye fishing is equally excellent on Lake Erie for eater size fish in the 17"- 24" (2-4# range) from the fantastic 2001 & 2003 spawns as well as 2004/2005 spawns with a bunch of 13 -15" Walleyes coming up. There are still some Big Eyes in the 5-8# class with legitimate shot at a 10 pound plus Trophy Eye for the wall. All fishing is "hands-on" by drifting/power trolling with electric motor to present live bait & spinner/worm harnesses or casting jigs to the hungry schools of Erie Walleye. You'll feel the bite, have to set the hook and fight the fish until I net them for you. This fishing is usually an early bite (6:30-9am, although, it sometimes lasts longer on overcast or rough water days), then we usually go after Smallies to finish out the day.
There are Jumbo Yellow Perch available in combination with any Bass or Walleye trip. These great eating fish are some of the biggest in the country averaging 10-13" about a 1 to 1 1/4 pounds with some going to 15" and over 2 pounds!
I  promote a CPR policy (Catch, Photo & Release!) on all my Trophy  Smallmouth Bass trips to insure the future of this great fishery.

Great Group Idea:
How about about an alternative to the boring Corporate Meeting, unadventurous Golf Tournament or enjoy a bachelor party that won't get you in trouble with the Mrs.

I can arrange a fun, Catch & Release Tournament with some of the best Guides any where. All bait & tackle are provided to ensure all will have a great time, lasting memories, anticipation of the next "Big Meeting" and Bragging Rights to the Winner!
